Women’s network 1610K and media platform Girls Are Awesome are proud to present Swedish producer Linn Fijal and Swedish songwriter and producer Ida Redig for a candid discussion of the changing face of the music industry. Linn and Ida will be sharing their insights about getting started in a competitive industry, finding their niches, perfecting their crafts and adapting to the rapidly changing needs of the industry.

Linn Fijal is a Swedish engineer and producer, brought to prominence when Benny Andersson of ABBA fame hired her as the studio manager and lead engineer for his studio, Riksmixningsverket. Since then shes worked as a recording engineer, mixer and producer with Swedish and international acts with a wide range of artists and genres. She is a well known and recognized name in the music industry. Along with Ida Redig (producer, artist), she started the producer network We Are (2017).

Ida Redig (SE)

Artist, songwriter & producer
Ida Redig is an artist, songwriter and producer based in Gothenburg, Sweden. She built her own studio in 2010 and has since then worked with her own music (Ida Redig / The Strongest Man Who Ever Lived), recorded and produced other artists and produced music for large advertising jobs and film such as BMW, DNB, TDC, Coop Konsum and Apoteket Kronan etc. She goes under the name GIRL as a producer and has together with Linn Fijal started the producer network We Are (2017)

Polina Bachlakova (DK)

Managing Editor, Girls Are Awesome
Polina is a Copenhagen-based journalist and editor with a focus on women's rights and minority issues. She's currently the managing editor of Girls Are Awesome and a contributing writer at VICE's feminist platform, Broadly. Previously, she acted as the Online Editor of VICE's Noisey for the Nordic Region and as a staff writer at VICE Denmark. Her work has also appeared in publications such as The Lab Magazine, Bitchslap Magazine and Bast Magazine.
